India turns IIOJK into an abattoir through black laws, relentless CASOs: APHC

Srinagar : The people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue to live under constant fear due to draconian laws and relentless cordon and search operations conducted by Indian forces across the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an atmosphere of fear prevails in villages, towns and cities across the occupied territory, where Indian troops and agencies frequently lay sieges, raid residential houses and conduct search operations. Residents of several areas told the media that these operations have made their lives miserable. They said Indian troops and police personnel routinely barge into homes, harass family members and vandalize property.

The Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA), State Investigation Agency (SIA) and paramilitary personnel have also been conducting house raids and searches, terrorizing residents, damaging household belongings and confiscating important documents.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said India has turned the occupied territory into an abattoir by enforcing black laws and allowing its forces to act with complete impunity to victimize Kashmiris for resisting its illegal occupation.

The APHC urged the international community to end its criminal silence and hold India accountable for what it described as serious human rights violations and crimes against the people of the occupied territory.

The APHC also expressed sorrow over the loss and damage caused by recent floods in Poonch, Doda, Budgam and Ganderbal districts, and conveyed solidarity with the affected families.
