Eight Indian forces personnel injured in Shopian mishap

Srinagar: Eight Indian forces personnel were injured after a paramilitary bunker vehicle overturned in Shopian district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the personnel, including Central Reserve Police Force and police, were injured when the bunker vehicle rolled down on the Wachi main road in the Zainapora area of the district.

Officials said the BP bunker vehicle of the CRPF’s 178 Battalion, deployed at Police Post Wachi, lost control and overturned. Seven CRPF personnel and one policeman were injured in the accident.

The injured were immediately shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Zainapora for treatment. The cause of the accident is being ascertained, while further details are awaited.
