Two Indian army personnel injured in mine explosion in Baramulla
Srinagar: Two Indian army personnel were critically injured in a mine explosion in the Uri area of Baramulla district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the explosion occurred near the Upper Garh Forward Post of 8 Rashtriya Rifles (8 RR), operating under the 12 Infantry Brigade in the Kamalkote sector.
The injured personnel were immediately evacuated from the site and airlifted to the Indian Army’s Base Hospital at Badamibagh, Srinagar, where they are undergoing treatment.
The injured army men were identified as Dafadar Vijay Kumar (42) and Naik Sharanapa Angari (28), both serving with 8 Rashtriya Rifles. Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances that led to the explosion.
