Week-long photo exhibition inaugurated in Brussels to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day
Brussels: documentary material, visitors are being informed about the current situation in the occupied territory and the importance of a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium Rahim Hayat Qureshi said Kashmir Exploitation Day is observed to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to remember their sacrifices. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled and unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in line with UN Security Council resolutions.
The Ambassador stressed that durable peace and stability in South Asia is not possible without resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with international law and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He urged the international community to continue its efforts for the protection of human rights and for a just and peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
The photo exhibition will continue for a week at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, serving as a reminder of Pakistan’s steadfast solidarity with the perseverance of the Kashmiri people and their just struggle for the fundamental right to self-determination.
