Congress leader Tony slams BJP-RSS, says youth reject ‘Tanashahi’

Jammu: Senior Congress leader, Taranjit Singh Tony, has launched a scathing attack on the BJP and RSS, saying India’s Gen Z and Gen Alpha will no longer tolerate political arrogance, unemployment and attacks on democratic institutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a meeting in Jammu, Tony said that the BJP-RSS had taken the patience of students, unemployed youth, farmers and working families for granted.

“Gen Z and Gen Alpha have awakened. Their message to the BJP-RSS is loud and clear — ‘No More Tanashahi’. India’s young citizens will neither surrender their constitutional rights nor allow anyone to decide their future through fear, propaganda and divisive politics,” he said.

Drawing parallels with the freedom struggle, Tony said the BJP-RSS was underestimating the country’s youth just as the British did. He also accused the Modi government of using central investigating agencies against political opponents, and urged young Indians to remain united and committed to peaceful democratic action. “India belongs to its people, not to one party, one organisation or one ideology. The Constitution is supreme,” he asserted. KMS—20K
