IIOJK on high alert as unprecedented restrictions imposed ahead of August 15
Srinagar: Indian forces have intensified restrictions and frisking across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir ahead of India’s Independence Day on August 15.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces have increased the deployment of personnel at strategic locations, major roads, entry and exit points, markets, transport hubs and other sensitive installations.
Mobile checkpoints, commonly known as search nakas, have been established at multiple locations, where personnel are conducting intensive checks of vehicles and frisking individuals.
The restrictions and surveillance have been intensified across the territory ahead of August 15.
