ISHR takes India to UN over violent police crackdown on peaceful student march in New Delhi
Islamabad: Following the severe injury of at least 60 student protesters, the Geneva-based International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) formally dragged Indian authorities to the United Nations for violating international anti-torture treaties and committing state-sponsored violence against its own youth.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a brutal assault on academic freedom and civil rights, Indian forces deployed metallic pellet guns, electric shocks, and nail-embedded batons against thousands of peaceful students marching in New Delhi on 20 July 2026 over widespread medical exam leaks.
