Joining Mecca Agreement internal matter, no country should object: Bangladesh JI Ameer
Dhaka: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami of Bangladesh Dr Shafiqur-ur-Rehman has said that joining the Mecca Agreement is a sovereign internal matter of Bangladesh and no other country should object to this decision.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Dr Shafiqur-ur-Rehman in a statement in Dhaka said Bangladesh can decide to join the Mecca Agreement in the interest of its people and the country.
He said that no one needs to be worried about this decision of Bangladesh as the country has the right to decide according to its interests and the wishes of the people.
The Bangladesh JI Ameer further said that no other country should object to joining the Mecca Agreement. He said the authority for Bangladesh’s internal affairs and policy decisions lies with Bangladesh itself.
