Indian troops intensify search operations in Budgam, Samba districts
Yousmarg operation enters third day as forces expand searches

Srinagar: Indian forces’ personnel have intensified search operations in several districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, a joint operation launched by the Indian army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police has been underway in the Ashdar Gali area of Yousmarg in Budgam district since Thursday. Indian troops have expanded the operation, conducting massive searches deep inside the forests of the Yousmarg and Pir Panjal belt in the district. One youth has been martyred during the operation so far.

Indian officials claimed that the operation was initiated after receiving information about suspicious movement in the area. The Indian army claimed that its troops came under fire during the operation and retaliated, killing one person it described as a militant.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Sujit Kumar, visited the operation site in Budgam to take stock of the situation.
Yousmarg has been shut for tourists amid the ongoing operation, which was going on until last reports came in.
Additionally, Indian forces carried out a joint search-cum-area domination exercise in several areas of Samba district. The exercise began in Regal village and extended to Chillerian, Nadala, and Ploora, where troops conducted thorough checks and maintained a presence along identified routes.
During the exercise, a special joint team comprising Indian police and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was deployed at a strategic location. Officers at checkpoints conducted detailed inspections of vehicles and their occupants.
Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Samba, Anuj Kumar, said that the joint exercise was aimed at bolstering so-called security preparedness, enhancing coordination among agencies and increasing police visibility.
