Jammu: An Indian Army soldier has committed suicide at an Army camp in Jammu district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
45-year-old Naik Wagh Ambades, a resident of Maharashtra, India, was found hanging inside a shed at the Army’s Sunjwan camp in the Channi Himmat area.

Such incidents of suicides and fratricides have seen a steep rise among Indian forces deployed in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to observers, the prolonged deployment in a conflict zone, excessive duty hours, lack of leave, atrocities on innocent people, domestic issues, mental stress, harsh service conditions and sense of alienation among troops are among the factors contributing to the rising trend.
