IIOJK PHE daily wagers seek regularization
Srinagar: Scores of daily wagers of Public Health Engineering (PHE) department have sought regularization.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Chairman of Kashmir PHE Joint Employees Association Sajad Parray addressing a press conference in Srinagar said the issue of 61000 daily wagers in various departments, including PHE, is a long-pending one.
“This issue has been lingering for a long time now. In this regard, successive governments have formed several commissions and committees. The committees have furnished their recommendations and declared this issue as a human and social issue,” he added.
“We have worked in floods, turmoil and COVID and given our best despite meager salaries. We are still awaiting decent salaries and regularization”, he said, adding a peaceful protest will be held under the banner of Kashmir PHE Joint Employees Association on March 9 at Chief Office Rajbagh to press for their demands.
