Fake news, propaganda on the rise under Modi regime in India
New Delhi: Fake news and propaganda are on the rise under the Modi regime in India and it is number one in the spread of lies all over the world.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a special documentary by Channel News Asia (CNA) Insider, new facts about fake news in India have been brought to light.
A video of Congress leader Ashok Gehlot’s rally during the Rajasthan elections in November last year went viral. In the video, Modi’s slogans were raised during Ashok Gehlot’s speech. More people watched. Several news checkers called the video fake and proved that slogans in favor of Modi were not raised anywhere in the rally.

According to CNA Insider, in April 2019, Facebook blocked more than 700 accounts for spreading fake news about BJP. Fake news has become an industry in India. After 15 years of research, Disinfo Lab found 750 fake media handles operating out of India, which spread fake news in 119 countries.
