Abrarul Haq declines Indian movie offer citing Kashmir influence
Islamabad: Renowned Pakistani singer Abrar-ul-Haq has revealed that he declined a significant offer for movies and albums from India, shedding light on the influence of Jammu and Kashmir on his choice.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in an interview on a social media podcast, Haq revealed that he had received offers for movies and albums from across the border but turned them down due to contractual clauses restricting his freedom of expression regarding Kashmir.
Haq emphasized his stance, stating that he couldn’t accept terms that limited his ability to speak on important issues like Kashmir. He specifically mentioned rejecting a movie offer from Eros, which featured actress Katrina Kaif, despite pressure from friends and the surprise it caused within the industry.
