According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki, Modi claimed that the Samajwadi Party and the Congress would run a bulldozer over the Ram temple in Ayodhya if they come to power, adding, “They should take tuition from Yogi, where to run a bulldozer and where you shouldn’t”.
Pertinently, in recent years, bulldozers have become a weapon in the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments across India to destroy the homes and livelihoods of the Muslim community.
Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath is often dubbed “bulldozer baba” (bulldozer monk) by the right-wing media for his policy of demolishing the homes of Muslims and other marginalized groups.
