New Delhi: Kapil Sibal, a member of the Indian upper house of parliament, Rajya Sabha, has criticized the Narendra Modi government for abrogating Article 370 in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, terming it an “unnecessary” and a “political decision”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Sibal expressed doubt about the possibility of assembly elections being held in the occupied territory unless the results on June 4, presumably referring to the INDIA bloc’s potential victory, change the political landscape.
He further stated that the Kashmir dispute remains an issue between India and the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
