India’s Ranganathan openly calls for finding ‘Israel-like solution’ in IIOJK

New Delhi: Anand Ranganathan, an Indian political commentator, has courted controversy by advocating for an “Israel-like solution” in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, echoing the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s Hindutva ideology.

According to Kashmir Media Service, on a chat show hosted by Smita Prakash, Ranganathan backed an approach similar to Israel’s settlement policies in the Kashmir valley, sparking outrage for his incendiary and provocative remarks.

Ranganathan’s comments have drawn sharp criticism from various quarters, with many labeling them divisive and inflammatory. Political analysts have equated his statement with fascist tendencies and an imposition of the Hindutva agenda on dissent in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Other panelists on the show included Abhijit Iyer-Mitra, Sushant Sareen, and Tahseen Poonawala. Ranganathan’s support for Israel and Kashmiri Hindus has further fueled the controversy.
