Owaisi raises concern over surge in anti-Muslim violence in India after elections
Hyderabad, India: Hyderabad MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi has raised concerns over increasing violence against Muslims in different parts of India soon after the Lok Sabha polls.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Asaduddin Owaisi asked whether the Sangh Parivar was exacting revenge on the Muslim community by committing atrocities against them, after the downfall in Lok Sabha elections.
Owaisi, on his X handle, referred to the instances of violence in Uttar Pradesh, where two Muslims were killed.
He also condemned the demolition of homes by bulldozers in Akbarnagar and the lynching of two Muslims in Chattisgarh.
“After the election results, incidents of attacks on Muslims are increasing in many parts of the country.
Two Maulanas were murdered in Uttar Pradesh, Muslim houses were bulldozed in Akbarnagar, two Muslims were lynched in Chhattisgarh,” Owaisi wrote.
“Is the Sangh Parivar taking revenge on the Muslims?,” he asked.
