UAPA tribunal upholds ban on JKLF

New Delhi: The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) tribunal has upheld a ban on the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) headed by illegally detained Muhammad Yasin Malik.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the tribunal dealing with matters under the UAPA and chaired by the Delhi High Court judge Justice Neena Bansal Krishna upheld the Indian Home Ministry’s ban on the JKLF as an unlawful association for another five years.

On March 15, 2024, the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) extended the ban on JKLF.

The UAPA tribunal presided by the Delhi High Court judge Justice Neena Bansal Krishna upheld this decision.
