Indian Army soldier feared abducted during cordon operation in Kashmir
Srinagar: An Indian Army soldier went missing during a cordon and search operation in Islamabad district, last night.
Accoridng to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian soldier, from the Territorial Army, was part of a joint operation launched by the Army, police, and other agencies in Kazwan forest area of Kokernag of the South Kashmir disrict.
As per the Army’s official statement on X, the search continued overnight, and the soldier’s disappearance was reported. The Army suspects the soldier might have been abducted during the operation.
“A massive rescue and search operation is currently underway,” the Army stated suspecting that the soldier might have been abducted during the operation.
