Indian CRPF head constable commits suicide in Chhattisgarh
Bijapur: An Indian paramilitary head constable committed suicide in disturbed Chhattisgarh on Friday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the head constable of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died after he shot himself with his service weapon, AK-47 rifle, in headquarters of CRPF in Bhairamgarh in Bijapur district of the state.
The head constable, Pavan Kumar, turned his AK-47 rifle on himself when he was posted on a watch tower. Hearing gunshots, his colleagues rushed there and he was shifted to a community health centre where a doctor declared him dead, the police said.
Meanwhile, Indian forces personnel during a cordon and search operation killed a youth and dubbed him a Maoist rebellion in Budanai Reserve Forest area under Baliguda police limits of Kandhamal district in Odisha state.
