World must stand against oppression in IIOJK, Palestine: Mushaal
Rawalpindi: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation, has strongly condemned the unabated human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, Mushaal, who is the wife of unlawfully incarcerated JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik, criticized the oppressive actions of India’s Hindutva regime and Zionist Israel. She highlighted the reign of terror and human rights abuses inflicted upon the people of the occupied territories of Kashmir and Palestine.
During her visit, she also participated in a protest walk organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, which saw participation from its President, members of the business community, and civil society activists. The demonstration aimed to spotlight the atrocities committed by the Indian government in IIOJK while expressing solidarity with Palestinians. Notable attendees included Sohail Altaf, Prof. Zafar Sindhu, and Dr. Owais Malik.
Mushaal praised the business community’s commitment, particularly that of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, in supporting the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination. She announced an agreement in principle to establish a symbolic Pakistan Kashmir Chamber of Commerce to raise awareness about the challenges faced by Kashmiri entrepreneurs in IIOJK and globally. Mushaal emphasized the need for economic empowerment of Kashmiris, urging the business community to play a proactive role in this initiative.
She also criticized global powers and human rights organizations for their silence regarding the inhumane treatment and war crimes perpetrated by Indian and Israeli forces in IIOJK and Palestine. Mushaal lamented how the picturesque valley of Kashmir has been transformed into a nightmare, with occupation forces granted impunity to kill Kashmiri youth and harass women.
In her concluding remarks, she called on the international community to find the courage to compel the Indian and Israeli governments to allow Kashmiris and Palestinians to determine their own futures.
