Uddhav Thackeray slams Modi for using Article 370, Ram Temple as election stunts
Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for turning the abrogation of Article 370 that granted special status to occupied Jammu an Kashmir and the construction of the Ram Temple into election talking points, rather than addressing pressing issues faced by general Indian public.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a rally in Sangola, Solapur, Thackeray said Prime Minister Modi is focusing on issues like Article 370 and the Ram Temple, while ignoring Maharashtra’s local problems, including high unemployment and the ongoing struggles of farmers.
He questioned how many Kashmiri Pandits had returned to the Kashmir Valley since the scrapping of Article 370 in 2019, mocking the BJP’s claims that the move had brought peace to occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The Shiv Sena leader further criticized Modi and Amit Shah for prioritizing election rallies over addressing issues facing Indian general public, urging them to focus on resolving the violence in Manipur, instead of using such serious matters as election stunts.
