APHC-AJK honors Quaid-e-Azam on his birth anniversary
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter has paid rich tributes to the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on his birth anniversary today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK organized a seminar at its office in Islamabad, chaired by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi. The event was also attended by senior Hurriyat leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, among others.
In their speeches, Ghulam Muhammad Safi and Muhammad Farooq Rehmani praised Quaid-e-Azam as a visionary leader who spearheaded the struggle for a separate homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent. They highlighted that Pakistan’s creation was based on the two-nation theory, which also serves as the foundation for the Kashmiri freedom movement. They reiterated that the demand for a separate homeland for Muslims was justified and validated by history.
The leaders drew attention to the current plight of minorities, especially Muslims, in India, and condemned the Indian government’s harsh repression of Kashmiris seeking their right to self-determination. They emphasized that the Kashmiri freedom movement is a continuation of the Pakistan Movement, with Jammu and Kashmir remaining an unresolved issue from the Partition.
“Kashmir will become Pakistan” is the voice of every Kashmiri, they affirmed. Ghulam Muhammad Safi and Muhammad Farooq Rehmani also commended Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmiris’ just struggle and its consistent advocacy for the Kashmir cause on international platforms despite facing numerous challenges.
