APHC-AJK delegation meets Muzaffarabad Mayor, invites him to martyrs’ day rally

Muzaffarabad: A delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter met with the Mayor of Muzaffarabad, Raja Syed Sikandar Gilani, in connection with preparations for the Kashmir Martyrs’ Day to be observed on 13th July.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation led by APHC-AJK Information Secretary, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, extended a formal invitation to the Mayor to attend the grand public rally being organized in remembrance of the martyrs of July 13, 1931.

On the occasion, Raja Syed Sikandar Gilani reaffirmed that the people and governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir would continue to extend political, diplomatic, and moral support to the oppressed Kashmiris in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK).

Mushtaq Ahmed Butt said that 13th July 1931 marks a milestone in the history of Kashmir’s freedom struggle, symbolizing the spirit of resistance and sacrifice of the Kashmiri people. The delegation also included Mushtaq Ul Islam, Abdul Majeed Mir, Nazir Karnai, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, and Tanzeel Ahmed.

Meanwhile, in Islamabad, a delegation of APHC-AJK (APHC) met with Raja Zafarul Haq, General Secretary of the World Muslim Congress and apprised him of the latest grim situation in IOJK.

The APHC delegation invited Raja Zafarul Haq to attend a seminar being organized by the Hurriyat Conference on 13th July to mark Kashmir Martyrs’ Day. The delegation included prominent APHC representatives Aijaz Rehmani, Abdul Hameed Lone, and Zahid Safi.

During the meeting, the APHC leaders briefed him on the ongoing human rights violations, demographic engineering, and political suppression being perpetrated by the Indian authorities in the occupied territory. They emphasized the importance of international solidarity and support for the oppressed people of Kashmir.
