APHC-AJK meets refugee leaders in Muzaffarabad ahead of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day

Muzaffarabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a meeting in Muzaffarabad with refugee leaders from Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the observance of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day on July 13.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting was presided over by senior APHC-AJK leader Syed Yousuf Naseem. It was attended by the presidents of all refugee camps, office-bearers of associated organizations, and prominent Hurriyat leaders.

The participants paid glowing tribute to the 22 martyrs of July 13, 1931, who were martyred by Dogra forces outside Srinagar Central Jail while giving the call to prayer (Adhan). They said these martyrs laid the foundation of the Kashmir freedom movement and continue to serve as a beacon of inspiration for the ongoing struggle.

It was unanimously agreed that there would be full participation in the rally to be held in Muzaffarabad on July 13 to send a clear message to the world that Kashmiris will not rest until the mission of their martyrs is fulfilled and freedom from Indian occupation is achieved.

The meeting strongly condemned the ongoing repression by Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including grave human rights violations and the continued illegal detention of Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists.

Participants urged the international community, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and global human rights organizations, to take urgent action to protect the fundamental human and political rights of the Kashmiri people.

On the occasion, the APHC-AJK reaffirmed the unwavering resolve of the Kashmiri people to continue their struggle for freedom until its logical conclusion. The APHC-AJK also appealed to the public, especially the youth, to actively participate in tomorrow’s rally.

The meeting was attended by APHC General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Sheikh Yaqoob, Abdul Majeed Mir, Manzoor Ahmed Shah, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, Nazir Karnai, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali and others.
