Alleged murder of woman triggers protest in Ganderbal

Srinagar: People in Safapora, Ganderbal district, including the family members of a woman, who alleged that she was murdered, staged a protest demonstration today and demanded stern action against the culprits and urged the police to speed up the investigation into the case.
According to Kashmir Media Service, as per the protesters, a 28 years old woman was kidnapped and murdered by one of her relatives and demanded swift police action and justice to the victims family. “We demand a swift investigation and stringent action against the accused involved, “ Suhail Ahmad, a civil society member said.
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police of Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal rushed to the spot and assured the family and the protesters about the swift action and stringent action to the accused involved in the crime.
He said a case has been registered, and investigation has been taken up.
