Call President Trump a liar if you dare, Rahul challenges Modi
New Delhi: Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, challenging him to publicly refute former US President Donald Trump’s repeated claims that he mediated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Rahul Gandhi made these remarks during his address in the Lok Sabha and said that Trump has claimed 29 times that he intervened to help de-escalate tensions between India and Pakistan, yet Modi has maintained a criminal silence.
“If Modi ji truly has the courage, he should stand up and declare that President Trump is lying,” Rahul Gandhi challenged.
Referring to Indian media reports, the Congress leader added, “Modi never said Trump was lying. Everyone knows he lacks the courage to say it, that’s the reality.”
He further stated that Modi remains silent out of fear, as speaking up would provoke Trump to reveal the full truth.
Rahul Gandhi criticized India’s global standing under Modi’s leadership, asserting that the world has openly acknowledged India’s failures on the international stage.
He also took aim at External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and India’s foreign policy, noting that no country mentioned Pakistan by name following the recent incident in Pahalgam.
“This silence from the international community has deeply undermined India’s diplomatic position,” Rahul Gandhi concluded.
