India will soon be forced to apologize, make deal with US: US Secretary
Washington: US Commerce Secretary Howard Littnick has said that India will soon be forced to apologize and make a deal with the US.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Modi’s hollow claims of friendship with President Trump are now being exposed as the growing tension in trade relations between the US and India has taken a new turn.
Howard Littnick, while talking to Bloomberg, said the Modi government will not be able to withstand the pressure for long and will soon be ready to settle matters with the US.
He said that in the next one or two months, India will not only return to the negotiating table but will also try to reach a compromise with President Donald Trump himself.
He said Indian officials are currently trying to show a tough stance on US sanctions, but in reality it is all just a show. Ultimately, it is the Indian business community that will pressure the government to make a deal with the US to avoid trade losses.
Howard Littnick criticized the Modi government’s behavior and warned if India does not cooperate with the US, more tariffs will be imposed on its exports.
The US Commerce Secretary exposed Modi’s hypocrisy and said on the one hand, India is making profits by buying very cheap oil from Russia, and on the other, it is also part of the BRICS alliance, which is against the interests of the US.
He warned that if India does not stop buying Russian oil and does not leave the BRICS, it may have to pay additional tariffs of up to 50 percent.
It should be noted that earlier US President Donald Trump had also described the purchase of Russian oil as disappointing, while the Indian government maintains that it will take alternative measures to protect its exporters from the effects of US sanctions and tariffs.
