India has waged war on unarmed IIOJK people: APHC

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that the Indian BJP government and its installed Lieutenant Governor-led regime have waged a war on the unarmed people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police and paramilitary personnel continued house raids and searches in different areas of the occupied territory, subjecting residents to severe harassment.

APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India’s inhuman, brutal and immoral tactics in the past had failed to suppress the Kashmiris’ righteous struggle for self-determination — and would also meet the same fate in the future.

The statement added that during house raids and search operations, Indian forces had been looting household goods, mobile phones, laptops and other valuables from residences and never returning them to the owners.

He further said India is forcibly denying the Kashmiris their right to self-determination, for which the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been making unparalleled sacrifices for more than seven decades.

The APHC appealed to international human rights organizations, particularly the United Nations Human Rights Council, to take cognizance of the arbitrary and illegal actions of Indian forces in the occupied territory.

It also urged the world community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute at the earliest to save the Kashmiri people from Indian repression.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s League (JKPL) in a statement strongly condemned the brutal raids, mass arrests, and cordon and search operations carried out by Indian forces across. In a statement issued in Srinagar, the JKPL said that the fresh crackdown represents the continuation of India’s policy of repression aimed at silencing the genuine political voice of the Kashmiri people. The party denounced the harassment of families, including women and children, describing it as an inhumane tactic to spread fear and suppress the peaceful struggle for self-determination. It emphasized that such oppressive actions cannot crush the spirit of resistance or weaken the unwavering resolve of the Kashmiri nation seeking freedom from illegal occupation.

Separately, the Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League (JKYML) in a statement condemned the fresh wave of raids and operations carried out by Indian forces and agencies in various parts of the territory.

It described it as “tools of harassment and collective punishment” aimed at intimidating the local population and suppressing the ongoing struggle for right self-determination.
