Elderly man killed by speeding truck in Pulwama
Pre-dawn blaze damages OPD building in Srinagar hospital

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a 65-year-old man was killed after being hit by a speeding truck in the Khrew area of Pulwama district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the fast-moving truck ran over pedestrians walking along the roadside, critically injuring a passerby identified as Ghulam Muhammad Mir. He was immediately shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation.
Meanwhile, a pre-dawn blaze damaged several rooms of the Outpatient Department (OPD) building of JVC Hospital in Bemina, Srinagar.
Officials said that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. They added the flames were restricted to four faculty rooms and was brought under control in time, preventing it from spreading to adjoining facilities and other floors.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated, while the authorities are assessing the extent of damage.
