Srinagar: India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids and search operations in several areas of the Kashmir Valley in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian agency, enjoying impunity under the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act, launched widespread search operations and house raids in a dozen areas, including the districts of Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam. The raids also targeted the residences of detained individuals, including Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay, Dr Adeel, Dr Muzamil and Amir Rashid.

The dreaded Indian agency, attempting to conceal Indian state terrorism and the atrocities faced by the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir, has linked these house raids and search operations to the Delhi blast case. At least six civilians — including a young boy, imams, doctors and a woman — are currently in NIA interrogation custody.

Observers and people of occupied Kashmir believe that the suspicious blast in Delhi on November 10 was part of a wider plan by the Indian BJP government, alongside agencies such as RAW and the NIA, to justify large-scale operations against Kashmiri sentiment and to target the oppressed people and the Indian Muslim community and its institutions.

According to these observers, the explosion at the Nowgam police station in Srinagar on November 14 — which killed nine Kashmiris, including three forensic experts, two revenue department officials, two police photographers, one investigative officer and a civilian tailor, and injured between 27 and 32 others — was also intended to suppress or destroy evidence related to the Delhi blast.

Observers further stress that India’s escalating raids, arbitrary detentions and coercive policing in IIOJK constitute a blatant breach of international law and UN Security Council resolutions. They point out that the Modi regime continues to weaponize draconian laws like the PSA and UAPA, dismantle Kashmir’s special status, settle non-Kashmiris in the territory and deny millions their UN-mandated right to self-determination. They warn that India’s actions reflect a systematic defiance of global norms and conventions, urging the United Nations and the international community to hold New Delhi accountable for its persistent violations in occupied Kashmir.
