Senior IPS officer Bijoy Ghosh dies of heart attack

Dehradun: Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Bijoy Ghosh, died of a heart attack on Sunday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Bijoy Ghosh was serving as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Rapid Action Force (RAF) Range 3, the riot control unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), at Dehradun in Uttarakhand state of India.
According to CRPF sources Ghosh succumbed to cardiac arrest this morning.
The CRPF Director General, GP Singh, mourned the death of the senior CRPF official, saying the incident was unfortunate and an irreparable loss for the company.
The CRPF on its official X said, “With deep regret, DG, #CRPF, Shri @gpsinghips and all Ranks mourn the untimely and unfortunate demise of Shri Bijoy Ghosh, DIG, RAF RANGE-3, who left us early this morning following a heart attack. At this hour of grief, the #CRPF stands firmly with his family. May his soul find eternal peace in Vaikunth Lok.”
