Indian BJP govt usurps Kashmiris’ rights in IIOJK: APHC

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Indian BJP government and its installed regime in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have usurped all fundamental rights of the oppressed Kashmiri people through state terrorism and repressive policies.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, criticized India’s imperialistic and Hindutva-driven approach, aimed at suppressing every legitimate demand of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The spokesman said the BJP-imposed regime has inducted non-local subjects into the population of the Jammu region, violating international law and advancing the BJP’s Hindutva agenda in the internationally recognized disputed territory.
He added that the deprivation of Kashmiris’ political, social, religious, and other fundamental rights, particularly following the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A in August 2019, necessitates intervention by the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to check Indian aggression in IIOJK.
Minhas appealed to the international community to take notice of India’s brutalities in the occupied territory and play an effective role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The APHC also expressed deep sorrow and grave concern over the assassination of prominent youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi in Bangladesh. The spokesman said India should halt its policy of targeted killings and interference abroad. APHC lauded Hadi’s steadfast role against injustice and prayed for the departed soul, adding that the killer, instigator, and conspirator must be brought to justice.
