BJP regime terminates son of a martyr from govt service in IIOJK

Srinagar: As part of the Indian BJP regime’s agenda to deprive Kashmiris of their jobs and properties, the Modi government has terminated one Kashmiri employee in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the terminated employee, Muhammad Arshad Gurroo, who is the son of martyr liberation leader Ghulam Rasool Gurro of Anchar Srinagar, was terminated by the BJP regime led by New Delhi-installed LG Manoj Sinha from his job in the Social Welfare department in Srinagar for being the son of a martyr leader.

Since August 2019, hundreds of Kashmiri employees in the territory have faced suspension and terminations under different pretexts as part of India’s strategy to marginalize local Kashmiris. The occupied territory has been further subjected to an intensified military siege since the abrogation of its special status, Article 370 and 35A, in 2019.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Srinagar, while condemning the dismissal of the Kashmiri employee, called this action an anti-Kashmir and authoritarian move. The APHC called on the international community to intervene urgently as the situation in the occupied territory continues to deteriorate.
