Kashmir will be part of Pakistan, say speakers at Lahore solidarity seminar

Lahore: A seminar was held at the Lahore Bar Association’s Bar Room, organized by the Lahore Bar Association and Kashmir Centre Lahore, in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speakers at the event emphasized that Kashmiris live in the hearts of Pakistanis and that both are like one body which cannot be separated. They asserted that Kashmir will ultimately be liberated from Indian yoke and become part of Pakistan, highlighting that observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day aims to reassure the Kashmiri people of Pakistan’s unwavering support, cooperation, and assistance.

The speakers stressed that the Kashmir issue must be resolved in accordance with the aspirations and wishes of the Kashmiri people, asserting that the freedom of Kashmir is not merely a political slogan but a clear case grounded in international law, human rights, and United Nations resolutions.

The Lahore Bar Association reiterated that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir must be granted their right to self-determination, emphasizing that this is not a concession but their legitimate right.

The speakers condemned India’s illegal revocation of Kashmir’s special status and said that Pakistan continues to raise this issue at all diplomatic forums. They maintained that Kashmir is a long-standing dispute between Pakistan and India, and that UN resolutions clearly state that the people of Kashmir must decide their future. Through continuous struggle and immense sacrifices, the Kashmiri people have made it clear that they stand with Pakistan and wish to join Pakistan.

They stressed that the Kashmir dispute must be resolved in line with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, and that India’s illegal occupation should be ended as soon as possible.

The seminar was addressed by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ziauddin Ansari, President Lahore Bar Irfan Hayat Bajwa, In-charge Kashmir Centre Lahore Inam-ul-Hassan Kashmiri, General Secretary Lahore Bar Fahad Nisar Khokhar, senior lawyers Manzoor Hussain Gilani Advocate, Altaf Gujar Advocate, Attaullah Islahi Advocate, and others.
