Modi’s Israel visit brings chaos in Middle East, escalation of regional war
Tehran: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was martyred in his office during US-Israeli air strikes on Saturday morning, according to Iranian state media.
Reports said the coordinated aerial assault targeted key installations in Tehran, with international media reporting that around 40 senior Iranian officials were also killed in the attacks.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) vowed to launch what it termed “the most devastating offensive operation” against US bases and Israel, raising fears of a wider regional war.
Political observers have linked the escalation to the deepening India-Israel strategic alignment under Hindutva-inspired Narendra Modi leadership, noting that the strikes came shortly after his high-profile visit to Israel. They argue that the timing of the attack signals political consent from New Delhi, further reinforcing what critics describe as a growing anti-Muslim geopolitical axis.
Analysts warn that such developments risk destabilising the wider Middle East and could have serious repercussions for regional security and global peace.
