Young Indian officer Lieutenant Amit Singh dies while undergoing commando course in Belagavi
Belagavi: An Army officer passed away after suffering a heart attack while swimming at the Commando Wing premises in Nanawadi, Belagavi, Indian state of Karnataka
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased, Lieutenant Amit Singh, a native of Haryana, was undergoing training at the Commando Wing. He reportedly collapsed in the swimming pool following a severe cardiac episode.
Lieutenant Amit Singh, commissioned into the Madras Regiment and a graduate of the 145th course at the National Defence Academy (NDA), passed away while undergoing commando training at the Commando School in Belagavi (formerly Belgaum).
Initial social media reports indicate that the incident occurred at the Commando Wing premises in Nanawadi, Belagavi, where he suffered a sudden discomfort while swimming in the facility’s pool. He collapsed during the activity, and despite prompt medical response, he could not be revived.
