Swamy alleges women became MPs, one minister after relations with Modi

New Delhi: Senior Indian politician and former BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has levelled serious and controversial allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that certain women advanced to parliamentary and ministerial positions after alleged personal relations with him, sparking a political stir in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Swamy reportedly claimed that several women rose to positions as Members of Parliament following alleged personal relations with the prime minister, further alleging that one of them was later made a minister. The remarks were said to have been made in the context of discussions surrounding the so-called “Epstein files” and the possibility of compromising material held by foreign agencies.
Swamy, who has increasingly distanced himself from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party leadership, has previously raised similar concerns. In late 2025 and early 2026, he suggested that alleged personal matters involving Modi could make him vulnerable to blackmail by international actors.
The latest claims have evoked reactions across political and media circles; however, no official response has been issued by the Indian government regarding these specific allegations. Analysts note that such claims, attributed to a senior insider, have added to perceptions of internal dissent and raised questions about transparency and accountability within India’s political system.
Political observers say the repeated articulation of such allegations by a prominent figure like Swamy underscores deepening fractures within the BJP and highlights concerns over governance and institutional credibility in India.
