Maraka-e-Haq strengthened Kashmiris’ spirit, says Ali Raza at Brussels event

Brussels: Chairman of the Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), Ali Raza, has said that the success of the Maraka-e-Haq or Battle of Truth” has increased the spirit and strengthened voice of the Kashmiri people and once again highlighted the Kashmir issue at the international level.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ali Raza Syed expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held at the Council’s Central Secretariat in Brussels on occasion of the first anniversary of success of the operation “Battle of Truth.”

Operation Bunyan-nun-Marsoos symbolizes the strong response and historic success of the Pakistan’s Armed Forces against Indian aggression.

Ali Raza Syed said, the operation highlights the defense, national security, and the professional capabilities of the armed forces of Pakistan. He said, this significant defensive achievement has been written in golden words in the country’s history.

He said that Pakistan is the true advocate of the Kashmiri people and should play a more active and effective role at the global level for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the relevant United Nations resolutions. He emphasized that the current opportunity should be utilized to ensure the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

While addressing the gathering other speakers also congratulated and paid tribute to the people, government, and armed forces of Pakistan on the anniversary of success of the Marka e Haq. They also paid tribute to the sacrifices and struggle of the Kashmiri people for freedom and justice. They urged the international community to play its due role in resolving the longstanding Kashmir dispute.

The ceremony was attended by various political and social figures, diplomats, and representatives of civil society. The key participants of the event included President World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance Europe Chaudhry Khalid Joshi, PPP Belgium leaders Malik Ajmal and Shiraz Butt, senior Kashmiri leaders Sardar Siddique and Raja Khalid, President Pakistan Press Club Belgium Chaudhry Imran Saqib, leader of Itsehkam e Pakistan Farid Khan, Press Counselor of the Embassy of Pakistan in Belgium Saghir Ahmad Wattoo, and Minister of Customs Syed Asad Raza Rizvi, Intellectual Unib Rashid and Community leader Saleem Memon.

Syed Nasir Shah, Raja Abdul Qayyum, and Mehr Nadeem were also among others who attended the gathering.
