Muslim men lynched in BJP-ruled Assam
Dispur: In a tragic incident, two Muslim men were beaten to death and another critically injured by a mob in BJP-ruled Assam.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the mob beat and killed two Muslims in Sonitpur district. The attack occurred in the remote Bhalukpung area near the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.
According to police, a third person accompanying the victims was also severely injured and is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. Sonitpur Senior Superintendent of Police Barun Purkayastha confirmed that the victims hailed from Morigaon district and belonged to the minority community. Their full identities are still being verified.
