Article 370’s fate tied to Kashmir’s existence: Farooq Abdullah
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has said that the fate of Article 370 is inextricably linked with the people of Kashmir, vowing to continue his political fight.
Farooq Abdullah in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The day we are buried, Kashmir will be buried. Article 370 will be buried.”
His remarks come days after the party announced it will hold a protest in New Delhi on the first day of Parliament’s upcoming Monsoon Session, pressing for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood and constitutional guarantees.
Regarding the proposed meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc scheduled for June 8, Farooq Abdullah confirmed his party’s participation.
“Omar and I—one of us will go. Obviously, we are part of that. We will be there,” he added.
