Rajouri remains under heavy siege as Indian operation enters 17th day

Jammu: The Indian forces’ brutal cordon and search operation in Rajouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir entered its 17th consecutive day on Monday, further intensifying hardships for local residents.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the massive military campaign involving the Indian Army, paramilitary troops, para commandos and Village Defence Guards is continuing in the Gambhir Muglan and Dorimal areas. War helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs have been extensively deployed in the rugged terrain.

An Indian officer was also killed during the prolonged operation. Locals say the relentless military activity has completely paralysed normal life in the area, creating an environment of constant fear, uncertainty and severe inconvenience for civilians.

Despite 17 days of intense operations, the forces have failed to achieve any significant breakthrough so far, while ordinary residents continue to bear the brunt of this extended military siege.
