Indian forces launch search operation in Poonch

 

Jammu : Indian forces personnel launched a cordon and search operation in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces personnel launched the operation in the Mandi area of the district on Wednesday.

The joint search operation by Indian forces led to the busting of a militant hideout in Garha, Sawjian, in the Mandi area, an official claimed.

Indian officials claimed that during the operation, the forces recovered 246 rounds of PIKA rifle ammunition that had been hidden inside the hideout.

Meanwhile, Indian forces continued massive cordon and search operations in Shopian and Rajouri districts. In Shopian, troops conducted military operations for the 12th consecutive day in Saidpora Payan, Amshipora, Shamsipora, Chanapora, Gundhadoo and adjoining areas.

In Rajouri, the prolonged military operation entered its 54th consecutive day, with extensive searches backed by drones, gunship helicopters and electronic surveillance in the Manjakote and Sunderbani areas.
