Congress youth leader detained during protest in Srinagar

Srinagar : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Congress workers staged a protest in Srinagar, raising slogans against the arrest of Rahul Gandhi by Delhi Police during an opposition demonstration in New Delhi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest led by Youth Congress leaders at Press Colony was organised against the BJP-led Indian government. During the demonstration, District Youth Congress President Srinagar, Yasir Mandoo, was detained by Indian police while leading the protest.
The Srinagar protest came hours after Rahul Gandhi was detained by Delhi Police during a high-profile opposition demonstration outside Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi.
Gandhi was joined by senior INDIA bloc leaders, including Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, in a sit-in protest demanding accountability over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
The opposition leaders called for the resignation of Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and condemned the recent police action against students protesting over the examination controversy.
