Indian forces open fire on vehicle in IIOJK’s Ramban
Search operation launched after occupants flee

Srinagar: Indian forces’ personnel opened fire on a vehicle in Ramban district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), triggering a search operation in the area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops fired at a Scorpio vehicle after it allegedly failed to stop at a checkpoint at Chanderkote near JP Gate on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway during the early hours of Friday.
Indian authorities claimed the the vehicle, travelling from Srinagar to Jammu, ignored signals to stop at the checkpoint.
Officials said the occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot.
Following the incident, Indian forces, including the Army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the armed police, launched a search operation in the area to trace the occupants.
