Body of woman found in Salal Dam, identified as Ramban resident
Jammu: The body of a young woman was recovered from the Chenab reservoir near Dhyangarh Dam Top area of Salal in Reasi district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, locals spotted the body floating in the water and informed the authorities.
The body was shifted to the District Hospital, Reasi for identification and medico-legal formalities. Information regarding the recovery was also shared with police stations in the region.
Later, the deceased was identified as Eira Fatima, daughter of Asad Ali, resident of Chandrakot in Ramban district. Her relatives reached the hospital and identified the body, following which a post-mortem was conducted. After completion of legal formalities, police handed over the body to the family for last rites.
