APHC welcomes Pakistan-Saudi-Turkiye Defence Agreement
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK chapter has welcomed the historic joint defence agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye in Makkah, terming it an important step towards unity of the Muslim Ummah.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and other Hurriyat leaders said the pact reflects growing trust, cooperation and commitment to collective security among the three brotherly Islamic countries.
Safi said that in the current global and regional scenario, mutual cooperation and unity among Muslim states is a key need of the hour. He added that defence and strategic cooperation between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, which hold prominent positions in the Muslim world, can have positive effects for peace, stability and security in the entire region.
He said the agreement would further strengthen the long-standing fraternal ties between the three countries and open new avenues for joint strategy in defence, security and cooperation.
The APHC leadership stressed that the purpose of Muslim countries’ defence cooperation should not be confrontation with any state, but to safeguard sovereignty, territorial integrity, national security and lasting peace in the region.
The leaders also said a united and effective role by Muslim countries is indispensable for the resolution of ongoing conflicts and protection of the rights of oppressed nations, particularly for a just and peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute and support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi and the Hurriyat leadership congratulated the leadership and people of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye on the development, expressing hope that the agreement would take bilateral relations to new heights and become a source of unity, peace and prosperity for the entire Muslim Ummah.
