Kashmiris to continue freedom struggle at all costs: Ahsan Untoo
Extends heartfelt greetings to Pakistan on Independence Day
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Chairman of the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Muhammad Ahsan Untoo has said that Kashmiris will continue their freedom struggle at all costs until it reaches its logical conclusion.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, while addressing a meeting in Srinagar, extended heartfelt greetings to Pakistan on its Independence Day and said that Kashmiris were grateful to the Pakistan Army, particularly Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for keeping the Kashmir issue alive on international forums.
Ahsan Untoo expressed concern that the Indian Army was turning Kupwara district into a military cantonment and converting the Kupwara brigade headquarters into a corps headquarters. He said several settlements along the main road in Lolab had been vacated.
He further said that orders had also been obtained from the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara to vacate surrounding settlements in Kandi Kigam for the establishment of a brigade headquarters. He said the heavy deployment of Indian troops had made life increasingly difficult for the local population.
Muhammad Ahsan Untoo condemned India’s plots and coercive measures and urged the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other international organizations to pressure India to halt its colonial and repressive policies and human rights violations in IIOJK.
