Residents face acute drinking water shortage in Udhampur’s Nagrota

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), residents of Nagrota area in Udhampur district are facing severe difficulties due to an acute shortage of drinking water, with supplies reaching them for only half an hour every four to five days.

According to Kashmir Media Service, residents of Ward No. 21 said the inadequate water supply has caused serious hardships despite regular payment of prescribed water charges.

They said the erratic water supply has forced them to hire private water tankers at considerable expense, placing an additional financial burden on their families.

The residents appealed to the Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur to take immediate notice of the issue and ensure a regular and adequate supply of drinking water.
