Two Indian policemen shot dead by fellow personnel in Assam
Dispur: Two Assam Police personnel, including an officer, were killed and two others were injured after a fellow policeman opened fire at a police outpost in BJP-ruled Assam.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased were identified as Fazrul Ali and Indrajit Bora, officer-in-charge of the Gamerimura Police Outpost.
Two others were injured after a fellow policeman, identified as Chiranjeev Choudhury, opened fire with an AK-47 rifle at the Gamerimura Police Outpost in Boko, Kamrup district.
The exact circumstances leading to the incident and the motive behind the firing have not yet been ascertained. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Boko Police Station.
